Top 5 Things to Do in Kuala Lumpur

Written by Alyssa Ross

Kuala Lumpur is one of the most unique countries in Southeast Asia mainly because its culture is heavily influenced by other neighboring countries, as well as the Western powers that once colonized the nation.

You can see the major cultural influences in everything that you can find here. In fact, some escort girls not only adapt Malay traditions but they can also be great in speaking English as well.

Anyway, Malaysia is a haven for backpackers and for people that are on the move. Today, I am going to go over some of the things that you need to do when you visit Kuala Lumpur.

Become a Fan of Birds

Kuala Lumpur is home to the world’s largest free-flight, walk-in aviary. The KL Bird Park is definitely a place that I would recommend for the entire family to visit. That is because it houses more than 4,000 species of birds and the place is divided into four areas.

The three areas are specifically for birds that are able to roam free. This constitutes the majority of the 20.9-acre land. The last zone is where you can find the birds that are put in a more restricted environment, but the cages are quite big and the area is also big as well, so you do not have to worry about the welfare of the birds since they are well taken care of.

But, even if you are not a fan of birds, the huge landmass makes it perfect for anyone to take a stroll and reflect about their lives so far.

Take a Stroll Down the Gardens

One of the reasons why I recommend people to visit Kuala Lumpur is the fact that the country has plenty of natural parks and gardens where you can visit and relax.

That being said, just south from the National Monument, you will find the Perdana Botanical Garden. This place also has a huge landmass and makes it quite perfect for people who just want a leisurely and peaceful stroll.

Explore the Coffee Culture

After all of the walking from visiting the previous places I’ve mentioned, you are probably in the mood for some afternoon snacks. Fortunately, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants that serve not only coffee, but some other delights as well.

You can head on over to Old Town White Coffee which has plenty of branches in huge malls. They serve some amazing coffee buns and some coffee to go along with it.

If you want to eat breakfast or lunch, you can go to Yut Kee and Sin Hoy How restaurants to fire up your day.

Eat Your Way to Jalan Alor

Jalan Alor is one of the most popular places to visit in Kuala Lumpur. That is because this is considered as one of the best food strips in all of Asia; which only rivals that of South Korea and Vietnam.

Anyway, although there are plenty of different food options that you can find here, I definitely recommend trying the chicken wings and some Thai foods here. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!

End the Night Right at Changkat Avenue

Whereas in Jalan Alor, you will find many different Hawker Food Stalls, Changkat Avenue is riddled with bars and clubs where you can spend most of your night away.

You can find many huge nightclubs here if you want to test your dance moves, but if you want a more quiet place, you can go to Havana Bar & Grill and just relax with some good company.
